Praise for A Chorus of Corpses:

Choirs of zombies, oh my! The multi-talented label Robot Monster continues to gobble up fantastic talented horror acts like mutants on a rampage. Recent addition to the roster is the U.K. based act Dead Pleasures. Formed in 2005 by band mates Billeth and D Zombie and bound by the love of all things gory and horrific, the act struck out to found a crooning ghoulish act that crawls and drools and makes you fall in love with every strum. The act draws heavily from fifties nostalgia pop, grotesque B-horror, and a sense of undead romance that pervades every lyric.

On first listen to the album A CHORUS OF CORPSES, listeners are treated to a back track trip in time with homage to the movie that started it all with the first two song titles “There coming to get you…” and “…Barbara”. “Salem’s Lot” rips it up for those of us late up all night movie fans who adore classic vampire flicks. And the album closes out with the aggro anthem “Attack of the Tarman” and the gritty punk grooves of “Evil Dead”. I had to admit the croons of this England based undead act has hooks to spare. It grabs and pulls with Cenobite force and sways you to the floor with moribund grace. Indeed another fine catch for Robot Monster and I can’t wait for the next one.
